Reports to: Functionally reporting Vertical Head – Hospitality and administratively reporting to Zonal Manager – North Commercial

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) in the Hospitality sector is responsible for driving business growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and revenue optimization. The BDM identifies new business opportunities, fosters relationships with potential partners and clients, and works closely with internal teams to align growth strategies with company objectives. This role requires an understanding of the hospitality industry, market trends, and customer needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities.
  • Select and recommend appropriate solutions including products, budgetary quotes, standards, etc. to the target audience.
  • Increase in the project funnel made with complete range of products including mechanical, electro-mechanical, automatics, glass, sliders etc.
  • Collaborate with technical and spec team, architects, engineers, and project managers to align specifications with design intent, budget constraints and focus on solution selling.

 

  1. Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Generate leads and convert them into profitable sales opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue growth goals.

 

  1. Key accounts:
  • Manage and actively engage with key accounts of assigned developer, operator and consultant in collaboration with channel and regional sales team.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with consultants/ operator/ developer/ partners to identify new projects and provide accurate, precise and timely information.
  • Provide timely support for specifications on upcoming and existing projects.

 

 

 

 

  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Ensure that all project/specification enquiries are maintained, updated, and archived appropriately in Openings Studio and Microsoft CRM.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management about the team's progress, challenges, and successes.

 

  1. Market Research & Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the hospitality industry.
  • Identify target markets, potential clients, and opportunities for expansion or diversification.

 

  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product or project specifications.
  • Present and explain specifications to clients or stakeholders as necessary.

Skills Required:

  • Strong customer focus
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong drive to deliver high growth
  • Good relationship building and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to make effective conversations with project owners/architects/Project Management Consultants
  • Ability to learn industry-specific software such as AAOS etc.
  • Functional understanding of project business in the building materials industry

Education Qualification & Experience required:

  • Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical stream or related discipline
  • Familiarity with REVIT or CAD programs
  • Relevant experience of 2 - 5 years with the similar industry

Additional Information:

  • Should be willing to Travel excessively in assigned territory
