What you would do as our System Test Engineer (f/m/d)
The EMEIA Division is looking for a System Test Engineer for its Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) business to implement and help secure high quality and end-to-end system robustness for connected devices within the EMEIA division. You will ensure that the approach is aligned with our strategy, being part of a cloud-connected architecture. The role will report to the EMEIA Python QA Team Lead.
As part of the DAS EMEIA Quality team, you will play a vital role in defining and implementing the DAS EMEIA end-to-end system testing necessary for our connected devices and services, all aligned with the digitalization journey set by the DAS EMEIA Access Control Solution (ACS) strategy.
You would also:
- Support the definition and execution of test integration activities throughout the development lifecycle. As a team player, you will communicate and collaborate well with others, being part of the QA team responsible for verifying and ensuring the health, stability, and overall quality of different applications.
- Develop, review, maintain, and execute test environments, test plans, test data, etc.
- Develop automation test suites and automated testing processes.
- Work with the team to perform test result analysis and root-cause analysis of defects found, ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate and/or consult with the development team on how to test various system features and interfaces.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in test automation frameworks and driving automated testing successfully.
- Has at least 5 years of experience working as a software engineer/test engineer.
- Has experience in programming, preferably Python.
- Experience with LabVIEW would be an advantage.
- Is familiar with continuous integration, cloud operations, end-to-end lifecycle, and continuous delivery.
- Has a bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering.
