The Accountant Officer is responsible for supporting core accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, financial reporting, audit and tax requests. The position helps maintain accurate financial records, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
The Accountant Officer will collaborate with senior accounting staff and cross-functional partners. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adapting to changing priorities.

As our Account Officer , you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Execute key accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations with regular controlling of accounting entries.
- Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial data for consolidation with the parent company’s financials.
- Assist by providing timely financial data and support the parent company for consolidation purposes. Ensure accurate reporting and adherence to the group’s accounting standards.
- Ensure that accounting processes are followed and that all financial reporting complies with relevant standards. Assist accounting and finance leadership with various audit and tax requests.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank accounts.
- Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
- Able to prepare and present balance sheet reconciliations.
- Track and reconcile fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation.
- Monitor asset records and supporting schedules.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and cycle counts.
- Review of Purchase Price Variances.
- Definition of STD Costs.
- Review and process vendor invoices, help in payments preparation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Process manual intercompany cost recharges.
- Reconciliation of subledgers with analysis and corrective actions for differences.
- Prepare, reconcile and post Netting transactions.
- Prepare quarterly CH VAT declarations.
- Ensure transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting as needed.
Education/ or Experience
- Federal certificate or equivalent diploma in Finance and Accounting with Knowledge of Swiss Taxation (Income and VAT)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an international environment.
- Solid track record of preparing financial statements and executing month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining internal controls and financial reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Proficiency in using Oracle EBS.
- Self-Starter & Strong Communicator: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, able to identify trends, resolve issues, and make data-driven decisions.
- Adaptable & Solution-Oriented: Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and approach challenges with a solution-driven mindset.
