What would you do as our Test Technician – Mechanical Hardware

As our Test Technician – Mechanical Hardware, you would support YDWS’s growth and profitability in our professional & efficient test facility with both our external and internal customers and through the provision and support of bespoke project solutions.

 

You would also be responsible for:

 

  • Customer Testing & Reporting – Conduct tests for customers, compile detailed reports with visual evidence, and manage documentation in Teamcenter.
  • Project Collaboration – Work with Project Engineers to ensure NPI and CPI testing meets relevant standards.
  • Facility Improvement – Drive continuous improvement and development of the test facility.
  • Production & Audit Support – Provide testing support for production products and audits.
  • Technical & CAD Support – Assist with product resourcing, inter-group projects, CAD support, and installation guidance.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Practical experience in window manufacturing, installation, and or testing.
  • An analytical and proactive mindset, with the ability to think ahead and stay organised.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own tasks effectively.
  • Industry knowledge (preferred but not essential), with a passion for learning and development.
