Position Overview
As part of the strategic Export 2.0 organisation, the Senior Export Director leads the unified export team for Donimet, Mercor, and Malkowski–Martech. This is a high-impact, unifying role that brings together a previously fragmented organisation under one ambitious, customer-focused strategy.
This position is responsible for aligning the export offer across multiple brands, building and nurturing a single, high-performing team, and delivering international growth under the ASSA ABLOY solution brand. The successful candidate will inspire collaboration across regions and business areas, drive both internal and external partnerships, and act as a champion for commercial excellence and customer focus in European markets.
This role requires a proven and ambitious leader, passionate about growth, driven by results, and capable of rallying diverse teams behind a common vision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Lead the unified export team across Donimet, Mercor, and Malkowski–Martech under the Export 2.0 strategy.
- Unify and energise the team around one vision, fostering collaboration, accountability, and shared ambition.
- Drive international revenue and margin growth, particularly in markets with no domestic ASSA ABLOY presence.
- Leverage the ASSA ABLOY brand to strengthen market credibility while preserving the value and technical heritage of each product brand.
- Identify and lead growth opportunities in new countries, verticals, or sales channels.
Internal & External Partnership Development
- Build strong internal partnerships across ASSA ABLOY divisions, especially with Entrance Systems and regional BA teams.
- Engage in close collaboration with operations, R&D/certification, and marketing teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Establish and grow external relationships with key customers, major contractors, distributors, and project stakeholders.
Commercial & Project Execution
- Set and manage commercial KPIs across sales, margin, pipeline, and forecasting.
- Lead strategic bids, tenders, and project negotiations, ensuring commercial robustness and delivery capability.
- Oversee pricing, discounts, and customer terms in alignment with the DBS pricing team.
- Analyse market trends and customer insights to adapt strategy and guide new product or service introductions.
Team Leadership
- Lead a geographically dispersed team of export professionals; coach and empower them to perform at their best.
- Create a strong team culture rooted in openness, trust, ambition, and shared success.
- Develop team capabilities, drive succession planning, and promote cross-border collaboration.
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of international B2B sales or export leadership in technical or project-based industries.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth, leading teams, and executing strategic commercial initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role managing people and performance across regions.
- Strong understanding of project sales, key account management, and international channel development.
- ERP and CRM fluency; Excel and analytical capability required.
