Position Overview
The Sales Director – Internal plays a critical leadership role in one of the most strategically important growth initiatives within the Export 2.0 organisation. This role is focused on developing and accelerating sales through intragroup partnerships with other ASSA ABLOY entities, particularly Business Segment Industrial (BSI), Business Segment Pedestrian (BSP), and Opening Solutions across EMEIA.
Reporting directly to the Senior Export Director, this position leads a structured internal sales programme designed to align the export capabilities of Donimet, Mercor, and Malkowski–Martech with group-wide customer needs. The role requires a commercially focused leader who can build strong internal relationships, coordinate complex projects, and ensure that the Door Business Segment is the go-to partner for ASSA ABLOY sales teams across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
-Lead internal sales growth across ASSA ABLOY divisions and regions, driving commercial success through structured internal partnerships.
-Act as the primary commercial liaison between the export organisation and group partners such as BSI, BSP, and Opening Solutions entities.
-Translate the Export 2.0 strategy into actionable internal channel plans aligned with export product certifications, market needs, and delivery capabilities.
Account Development & Coordination:
-Build and manage strong internal customer relationships, developing strategic plans and supporting commercial activities for internal accounts.
-Support the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to proposal, pricing, technical clarification, and order fulfilment.
-Ensure full visibility of internal pipeline and project status across the team, driving structured follow-up and conversion.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Coordinate closely with the export team, product management, operations, engineering, and marketing to ensure smooth delivery and communication.
-Actively support the development of internal sales tools and training content to promote awareness and engagement across the ASSA ABLOY Group.
-Ensure alignment with the DBS pricing function and Export 2.0 leadership on major bids and strategic accounts.
Execution & Performance Tracking:
-Meet or exceed sales targets (order intake, margin, pipeline conversion) and support KPI reporting to senior leadership.
-Monitor technical and contractual compliance for all internal offers and projects.
-Analyse internal customer feedback to continuously improve the offering and experience.
Requirements:
Experience:
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, key account management, or internal business development roles.
-Experience working in a multinational, matrix organisation—ideally with internal customer channels or indirect sales.
-Familiarity with door solutions, construction projects, or technical building products is preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
-Proven relationship-builder with strong influencing skills across teams and hierarchies.
-Excellent commercial and project coordination skills.
-Fluent in English; additional languages such as French or German are an advantage.
-Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
-Proficient in MS Office; ERP and CRM experience required. AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree required; technical or commercial focus preferred.
