HID are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Operations Solutions team. Here you will work to deliver software applications used throughout the manufacturing organization targeting the industrialization and production management of HID products. Those solutions are deployed across the globe, at HID sites and also at suppliers and contract manufacturer production sites. Those solutions cover all product lines (credentials, tags, readers, panel, token, printer etc.) and various aspect of the production processes (like provisioning, labelling, packaging, reporting, traceability managements).

As our Software Engineer, you'll support HID's success by:

  • Working with engineering and technical support to pro-actively implement industrial solutions leveraging generic platforms.
  • Participating in the full design/development/validation/documentation cycles.
  • Identifying solutions contributing to overall manufacturing process improvements.
  • Migrating legacy tools and processes under standardized platforms.
  • Maintaining security standards for the site and products.
  • Interacting with local IT teams to set up proper infrastructure.
  • Embracing the department's overarching architecture and processes guidelines.
  • Providing level 2 & 3 support to local and remote manufacturing teams.
  • Keeping to tight deadlines for software enhancements to match product development schedule

Your Education and Experience include:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with software and solution developments, ideally used in industrial applications.
  • Must have working experience with the following: Strong Java, C# or Python background (2 years minimum).
  • Hands-on experience with: Spring, .Net, .NetCore, HTML, JSON, XML, ...
  • IDEs and development-related tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, git/bitbucket…
