As part of our ongoing development, we are seeking experienced offset and silkscreen printers, with a view to printing to security standards. This is an exciting high-impact role with a focus on building a strong printing department during dynamic growth. While the role is based in Galway, Ireland, there is opportunity to travel to Rastede, Germany for a short training period. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the development and launch of our new competence center in Galway.

As part of the Printing team, you’ll support HID’s success by performing the following: 

  • Transferring printing knowledge from Rastede to Galway
  • The independent operation of the following production lines; offset printing 5 colours, offset printing 1 colour and/or fully automatic screen-printing line
  • Optimizing the product quality in collaboration with the Printing Manager or Operations production management
  • Professional usage of provided lines
  • Assessment of machine and tool condition
  • Reporting of defects wear and tear
  • Execution of quality control of raw material before start of production.
  • Contribute to developing Quality assurance (PDCA) system.
  • Ensure operation of quality control.
  • Assessment and documentation of product quality,
  • Documentation of material usage and production parameters

Your Experience and Education include:    

  • Professional education or appropriate experience as offset printer and/or screen printer
  • Experience of UV drying process is desirable
  • Experience of printing on plastic is desirable
  • Understanding of safety and quality requirements
  • Good understanding of colour measurement
  • 5+ years’ experience in operating production lines
  • Understanding of quality Inspection process
  • Basic computer literacy is necessary
