As our Production Supervisor, you will manage, lead, and motivate a group of enthusiastic and committed production staff.  The ideal candidate will be a team-player, have excellent communication skills and have previous experience within a similar role. The Production Supervisor will be on a rotating shift pattern which includes night duty.

As our Production Supervisor, you’ll support HID’s success by preforming the below: 

  • Ensuring that employees and visitors work safely in accordance to the company’s systems of work.
  • Contributing to the H&S team in continually revising the safety system.
  • Being responsible for day-to-day operations in the production area.
  • Ensuring communication to staff of products, policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Promoting the growth of staff development, including training and performance management.
  • Smooth running of operations on shift.
  • Displaying leadership and guidance to the production team, promote and implement systems and initiatives.
  • Instructing and assigning tasks to employees.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement activities.
  • Adhere to, and enforce security, quality policies and procedures.
  • Regular reporting to the management team as required.
  • Managing timely purchase of essential departmental supplies within departmental budget.
  • Ensuring all production documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Planning staffing levels to maintain optimum levels of output.
  • Maintaining a professional & satisfactory work environment for staff.
  • Recruiting staff as required.
  • Demonstrating decision-making with a reasoning for interpretation of right & wrong.
  • Monitoring performance to metrics; manage resources and priorities to achieve targets.
  • Assisting in the development and transfer of new processes.
  • Attending and deliver training sessions when required.

Your Experience and Education include:         

  • A minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory or management position (other relevant experience my also qualify)
  • Third level qualification in an engineering discipline an advantage
  • Display flexible, communicative and team-working attributes.
  • Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing or secure printing industry a distinct advantage
  • Qualification if a quality discipline (e.g. lean process, six sigma) an advantage

Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport
