Reporting to the EMEA Production Control and Order Entry Manager, the Production Scheduler will develop, maintain, and control production and shipment schedules in accordance with business objectives and inventory strategy.

Acting as the key link between sales, customer service, procurement, production, and export teams, the scheduler ensures customer requirements are met efficiently, driving high standards in on-time delivery.

 

Strong knowledge of supply chains, production processes, and fulfilment operations is essential to coordinate all customer-driven order activities across the region.

As our Production Control Scheduler , you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Ownership of all scheduling activities within the Business Area order book.
  • Primary responsibility for leading periodic sales and customer service meetings to prioritise inventory and production capacity and align with customer requirements.
  • Creation and management of production plans.
  • Creation and management of all outbound shipping plans.
  • All product allocation and scheduling.
  • Supply product and order lead times to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain close ties to procurement and supply chain teams to keep abreast of latest inbound supply plans.
  • Maintain close communication with production and fulfilment centre to ensure that production and shipping plans are communicated and executed.
  • Play key role in revenue forecasting and ensure ship plans are communicated and understood by key regional commercial stakeholders.
  • Take key role in establishing, reviewing documenting and implementing or updating processes as needed.
  • Lends support to PCM for the facilitation of the daily cross functional backlog review meeting.
  • Daily attendee of the BL Meeting; learn process and execute real-time actions as required.
  • Examples include but not limited to email inquiry, inventory inquiry, version history research, etc. 
  • Schedule and reschedule orders per direction from BL management team via BL comments.
  • Place and remove holds per direction from the BL management team via BL comments.
  • Logs prior day’s OTD failures / past due orders in designated tools and help to research root cause as required. 
  • Adjust ATP rules, standard lead times, and related Oracle EBS settings to ensure orders are consistently scheduled according to material levels and capacity.  
  • Follow up on aging orders to ensure prompt disposition.
  • Work with production and pick & ship value streams on order escalation, prioritization and scheduling. 
  • Report on BL + revenue plan vs actuals.
  • Process item attribute change requests to include Available to Promise, lead time updates, and other mass updates required to maintain system accuracy.

 

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, in particular Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile PLM is preferred.
  • University / College degree preferred.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to multi-task in stressful environments with critical date management and support.
  • Must have an innate desire for Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to perform daily tasks without constant Management / Supervisory oversight.
  • Must be willing to frequently communicate and collaborate across functional boundaries in a professional manner.
