About the Role

D&D Technologies is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Material Handler to support our Injection Moulding operations. This hands‑on role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials, tools, and dies across the production floor while working closely with Die Setters and Moulders.

This position suits someone who enjoys physical work, working in a team environment, and contributing to efficient production outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload, move, store, and supply raw materials to injection moulding machines
  • Prepare dies for upcoming production runs and stage them near machines
  • Assist Die Setters with removing and fitting dies during production changeovers
  • Purge machines and change materials, including hopper cleaning for colour changes
  • Mix materials and masterbatch using provided equipment (lifting up to 15kg in line with safe work practices)
  • Return dies and die‑setting equipment to designated locations after production runs
  • Operate forklifts and cranes to transfer materials and tooling (where licensed)
  • Weigh and record purge material usage on job tickets
  • Monitor raw material stock levels and advise when re‑ordering is required
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workshop environment
  • Work cooperatively with Die Setters, Moulders, and production staff
  • Assist with other duties as reasonably required

 

About You

You are a dependable team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A team‑oriented and motivated attitude
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Ability to lift up to 15kg and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing ladders
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts
  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure

Desirable but not essential:

  • Crane operation experience or licence
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or mould shop environment
