Maintenance Supervisor

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and driven Maintenance Supervisor to join the high-performing Operations team at D&D Technologies, based in our Frenchs Forest facility in Sydney.

This role plays a critical part in keeping our facility running smoothly, and we’re looking for someone who combines technical know-how with leadership capability, a strong work ethic, and a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Major Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading our maintenance operations with a hands-on approach, ensuring our equipment, infrastructure, and systems are safe, efficient, and reliable. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising a small maintenance team, including mechanical fitters.
  • Managing and performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
  • Overseeing site infrastructure, injection moulding machines, and associated equipment (e.g. robots, pneumatics, hydraulics).
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Managing contractor visits and coordinating service schedules.
  • Supporting the creation and revision of ISO procedures with the QA team.
  • Participating in ISO audits related to maintenance operations.
  • Monitoring spare parts inventory and maintenance logs.
  • Assisting with the design and fabrication of jigs, fixtures, and custom tooling.
  • Leading or contributing to installation and commissioning of new equipment or facility upgrades.
  • Managing budgets and sourcing materials and supplies in line with business needs.
  • Providing on-call support for emergency breakdowns as required.

 

About You – Key Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys leading by example, supports team, and ensuring operations run smoothly. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent trade background.
  • A minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in a similar maintenance leadership role.
  • Forklift licence and Connect/Disconnect electrical certification required.
  • Experience with injection moulding equipment is highly desirable.

 

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including:
    • Variable speed drives (SEW), Pneumatics, Hydraulics systems
  • Familiar with PLC systems and automation (e.g. Siemens, Unitronics).
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and planning.
  • Strong understanding of WHS standards, audit compliance, and documentation.
