About the Role

D&D Technologies is seeking a motivated and capable 2IC Team Leader to support our Moulding operations. Reporting to the Moulding Manager and working closely with the Senior Team Leader, this role plays a key part in driving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance across the department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into (or further develop) a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Team Leader to improve line performance across Productivity, Quality, Delivery, and Safety
  • Ensure moulded components meet product specifications, with accurate counting and labelling
  • Apply and maintain Quality Assurance procedures in line with BOMs, SOPs, ISO requirements, and approved samples
  • Ensure daily and weekly production targets are achieved
  • Monitor critical operational parameters and moulding process monitoring sheets
  • Minimise material wastage and improve production efficiency
  • Train, coach, and support team members on the job
  • Assist with cycle counting and stocktaking activities
  • Monitor quality through regular material and batch checks
  • Oversee movement of moulded goods from machines to designated booking areas
  • Verify boxed quantities against machine counts prior to booking
  • Book moulded parts into Epicor (E10) when required
  • Liaise with Maintenance or Shift Management regarding equipment issues
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and WHS compliance
  • Participate in training as required and assist with additional delegated tasks

 

About You

You are a dependable, detail‑focused professional who can lead by example and handle responsibility in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy (intermediate preferred)
  • Ability to learn and use Epicor (E10) MRP system
  • The ability to remain calm and perform under pressure
  • A disciplined, reliable, and trustworthy approach to work
  • A collaborative, team‑focused mindset

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Previous team‑leading or supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Injection moulding or production environment experience
