What you would do as our Business Unit Controller
As a Business Unit Controller, you will lead the financial area and provide finance business partnering to our Business Unit Manager by working closely on planning, analysis and execution, including financial controlling and reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures, while providing insightful analysis and recommendations. You will also be the local contact for financial matters to our Regional Headquarters and report in a dotted line to the Regional controller.
You would also:
- Take a proactive role in controlling the business performance and supporting the business to achieve targeted results and play a key role in the continued development of deliverables, including reporting, budgeting and planning processes, by partnering with business leaders.
- Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes for the business unit and control the company's costs, revenues and cash flows, including optimization proposals/tracking.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency and ensure that sales and operations adhere to financial and legal requirements and ASSA ABLOY procedures and enforce that every part of the organization follows defined standards for processes and data management, resulting in reliable financial and reporting outcomes.
- Manage working capital (e.g., inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable) to optimize cash flow and liaise with internal and external auditors as well as external legal on litigation matters.
- Be responsible for debt management and collections, and assessment of payment terms of commercial contracts.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has degree in Economics or Finance, can be replaced by certified accountant or ACCA/CIMA/similar certification or extensive financial experience and has at least 3 years of experience in finance with experience in a similar position.
- Has analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured personality, high ethical standards, acting trustworthy and transparently, with a clean criminal record in financial and business areas.
- Has knowledge of accounting principles and basic orientation in IFRS and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel at an advance level, good command of PowerPoint).
- Is fluent in Romanian and an advanced level of English.
- Has experience in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) (an advantage) and has capability to handle demanding discussions with senior leaders.
