Software Developer – Sensors 100% (m/w/d)

Based in Fehraltorf or Stockholm, you will work in the highly engaged sensor technology team on the development of new sensors, which are used worldwide for our door systems. In an agile re-search and development team, you will work with dynamic and motivated engineers from different disciplines with modern tools, a lot of creative freedom, and the use of state-of-the-art technolo-gies on sensor technology solutions, which are used worldwide in daily life thanks to the interna-tional network of our company.

You will also:

  • Develop software for pedestrian door sensors to meet product requirement specifications.
  • Collaborate with universities on sensor technology research projects.
  • Manage or participate in sensor and drive technology development projects.
  • Design and execute testing strategies for sensor qualification.
  • Optimize neural networks for better performance and accuracy in production environments according to the newest advancements in machine learning.
  • Track innovations in sensor technology, door automation, and related fields, especially in autonomous vehicle applications.
  • Prepare the software for and conduct testing at certifying bodies like TÜV, UL, VDE, RISE, etc.

 

The skills and experience you need:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Has strong programming skills in C++ or Python.
  • Is proficient in writing testable and well-documented code.
  • Has experience in DevOps – this is a plus!
  • Ideally has expertise in embedded software, embedded Linux, Real-Time Operating Sys-tems (RTOS), software architecture, and sensor technology.
  • Has a background in machine learning and experience with machine learning librar-ies/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn – this is a plus!
  • Is familiar with 2D/3D state-of-the-art sensor technology, including camera and radar sys-tems – this is a plus!
  • Is fluent in English and, depending on the location of employment, proficiency in German or Swedish would be preferred.
  • Ideally has experience in functional safety and certification of safety products.
