What would you do as our Junior Development Engineer
You will work in the highly engaged sensor technology team on the development of new sensors, which are used worldwide for our door systems. In an agile research and development team, you will work with dynamic and motivated engineers from different disciplines with modern tools, a lot of creative freedom, and the use of state-of-the-art technologies on sensor technology solutions, which are used worldwide in daily life thanks to the international network of our company.
You would also:
- Develop and test software for pedestrian door sensors, ensuring compliance with product specifications and certification standards (e.g., TÜV, UL).
- Lead or contribute to R&D projects in sensor and drive technologies, including collaborations with universities.
- Design and implement testing strategies for sensor qualification and certification.
- Monitor and integrate innovations in sensor tech, door automation, and autonomous vehicle applications.
- Optimize neural networks for production use, leveraging the latest advancements in machine learning.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field, with strong C++ or Python programming skills.
- Is experienced in writing testable, well-documented code and developing software that interfaces with hardware.
- Is knowledgeable in embedded systems, including embedded Linux, RTOS, software architecture, and sensor technology.
- Is familiar with functional safety, certification processes, and DevOps practices (a plus).
- Has background in machine learning and sensor technologies (e.g., camera, radar), with fluency in English and preferably German or Swedish.
