We are looking for SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER to join our growing Critical Infrastructure team in Joensuu or Espoo, Finland. The daily work of software test engineer consists of designing and system testing of secure digital locking systems, which interface to scalable cloud system. Our greatest asset is our automatically tested, high quality code base. Embedded software creation adapts long-term development and group learning to achieve sustainable development. Development is agile and aims at continuous delivery.

 

As a Software Test Engineer you will

  • Be responsible for test framework devops
  • Create/design test cases and system tests with embedded devices in test loop
  • Be part of building new product development team
  • Co-operate with other software teams 
  • Participate actively in diverse product development projects within domestic and international organization
  • Document and test embedded software products including locks, gateways and cloud systems
  • Practice good development principles (e.g. TDD, agile, HIL)
  • Build high-quality, automatically tested and reusable code and libraries for future use

An innovative and enthusiastic, yet systematic and solution focused expert will succeed in our growing development team. The position requires strong team working skills, and readiness for independent, agile-oriented working.

 

We are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in embedded programming, software engineering or related field
  • Experience of embedded software development environments, microcontroller development tools and system-on-chip environments.
  • Basic linux skills
  • Basic container management skills
  • Skills in C, Python and Yaml programming languages
  • Continuous Integration frameworks 
  • Microcontroller development tools and realtime OS experience
  • Understanding of wireless personal area network technologies
  • Building products based on hardware root of trust experience is an advantage
  • Work experience in a suitable position is an advantage
  • Adequate English skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
