Head of IT Operations
Head of IT Operations
From keeping systems running to shaping how a region operates
Eskilstuna/Stockholm, Sweden | Hybrid role | ~30% travel across the Nordics
Step into a role where you shape how IT operations perform across the Nordics — leading teams, improving systems, and ensuring reliable performance at scale.
At ASSA ABLOY Nordics, your work will support the infrastructure, cloud platforms, and applications that keep the business running smoothly across the Nordic countries.
Why this role matters
As Head of IT Operations for the Nordics, you will ensure stability, security, and performance across a complex, multi-country IT landscape. At the same time, you will continuously improve how services are delivered — making them simpler, more efficient, and ready to scale.
This is a natural next step if you want to expand your impact beyond operations into leadership and regional influence. You will take ownership of running an IT operation, with a clear mandate to improve, simplify, and modernise how it performs over time.
The role
You will lead the Nordic IT Operations function, responsible for infrastructure, cloud, and application services across the region.
Based in Eskilstuna/Stockholm, you will combine operational know-how with leadership — guiding your team, driving improvements, and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Success in this role depends on bringing structure to a complex environment of systems, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple countries.
What you’ll work on
- Leading and developing a Nordic IT Operations team across Sweden (Eskilstuna and Stockholm) and Finland (Joensuu).
- Ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-efficient delivery of infrastructure, cloud, and application services
- Overseeing application landscapes (e.g. ERP, PIM, access-related systems) and coordinating releases, QA, and infrastructure projects and lifecycle management
- Driving operational improvements, system upgrades, and local IT projects from concept to delivery
- Managing vendors and partners to ensure service quality and long-term value
- Strengthening cybersecurity and compliance in line with ISO27001, NIS2, and internal standards
What will help you succeed
- Strong experience in IT operations or IT service management, with initial leadership responsibility
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and hands-on ITSM experience
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, infrastructure and cloud)
- Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders in an international environment
- Fluency in English and a Nordic language is mandatory
