Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 6.00am – 6.00pm as per scheduled rostered

 

General Summary:

As an Install Technician you are responsible for the installation and commissioning of the complete pedestrian business segment.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Install and commission of all equipment under the Record new equipment portfolio
  2. Conduct inspection and installation in accordance with Australian AS5007 Appendix E
  3. Complete and submit all required paperwork to an acceptable quality standard and within specified timelines
  4. Liaise with customers in relation to the installation
  5. Liaise with project manager on any issues that may arise from sites or other works to ensure a timely resolution
  6. Comply with Company and site inductions/checks (drug, alcohol, police and other required checks) and other WHS requirements at all times
  7. Maintain all tools in good working order. If tools are lost or broken this must be reported to the Manager. If tools are stolen, they are to be reported immediately to the police and the manager is to be advised.
  8. A motor vehicle supplied as tools of the trade must be kept cleaned in good working order at all times and the tech motor vehicle policy must be adhered to.
  9. Record expects all employees who have been allocated field devices to take the utmost care and responsibility whilst in their possession. Each employee is personally responsible for the protection and maintenance of their field device. The field technology policy must be followed at all times.
  10. Communicate inventory and vehicle stock requirements with internal support teams to ensure the available of inventory for scheduled works
  11. Use as instructed, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per the SWMS that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis task
  12. Attend and participate in all project meetings, required training, audits and other programs as required
  13. Report all safety incidents, hazards and risks by completing the required documentation and photos
  14. Comply with AAES Values and Behaviours, Policies and other requirements at all times
  15. Other tasks that may be required from time to time.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of maintenance processes
  • Geographic knowledge of city/state
  • Technical understanding of auto doors
  • Good digital competency and ability to use modern information technology system
  • Must have current driver’s licence
  • Must be able to work flexibly (overtime, out of hours, including weekends).

 

Special Competencies Required:

  • Able to follow manager’s or company’s instruction s and execute to an appropriate quality standard and instructed timelines
  • All electronic and paper documentation is to be completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Record requirements.
  • installation reports are to be written up, clearly and legibly, prior to leaving the job site with signed approval by the customer.
  • Able to work at heights using ladder and lift equipment
