As a Senior Manager, Embedded and Software Engineering within HID’s Secure Issuance FARGO business unit, you will lead multiple functional teams within design engineering (electrical engineering as well as firmware/software development).  In these areas, you will be contributing to the areas of research, development, maintenance, enhancements, and customizations of FARGO products and solutions. This position works on advanced complex technical programs which require critical communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

As our Senior Manager, Embedded and Software Solutions, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Taking overall responsibility for the successful operation of assigned areas.
  • Supervising multiple organizational teams and providing direction for them.
  • Recommending facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and leading design engineers within multiple functional teams.
  • Enabling teams by providing them with the training, tools, and guidance necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Performing advisory or consulting work for the organization for broad program areas or an intensely specialized area with innovative or important aspects.
  • Demonstrating a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive programs and activities of major consequence.
  • Developing and authorizing policies, standards, and guidelines within assigned areas.
  • Promoting innovative concepts and ideas.
  • Negotiating critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and leaders within the business unit.
  • Conducting executive level presentations.
  • Representing the organization at important functions.
  • Communicating executive-level strategy and helping break down business directives into technology goals.

  • Uncompromising when it comes to developing and providing nothing but quality solutions.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

  • An Engineering degree (an Advanced degree desired)
  • 8+ Years of related experience, or work equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience in a leadership capacity
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) desired
