HID Global, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Demand Planner to join our dynamic Desktop Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts that drive critical supply chain and business decisions. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to ensure alignment between market demand and production planning.

As a key player in our integrated business planning process, the Demand Planner will leverage statistical forecasting tools, market intelligence, and historical data to anticipate customer needs and support service level goals while minimizing inventory risk. Your insights will help optimize inventory levels, improve customer satisfaction, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

As our a Global Supply Chain Planner, you’ll support HID’s success by: 
•    Developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts using sales data, historical trends, market insights, and statistical models.
•    Utilizing ERP and forecasting tools to support demand planning, material requirements, and master scheduling across multiple sites.
•    Leading and continuously improving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including driving forecast accuracy, leading monthly demand reviews, defining key metrics, and aligning cross-functional inputs.
•    Collaborating closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Engineering to understand forecast drivers, support new product launches, and manage product transitions.
•    Conducting root cause analyses on forecast discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to enhance planning reliability.
•    Maintaining planning systems and databases to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.
•    Implementing and monitoring inventory control strategies to minimize excess and obsolete stock while avoiding stockouts.
•    Coordinating cross-functional research to reconcile forecast variances and incorporating updated business assumptions.
•    Developing and documenting demand planning best practices and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Regularly interfacing with internal stakeholders to align forecasts, reduce slow-moving inventory, and supporting overall supply chain performance.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
•    3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting roles
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
•    APICS or IBF certification is a plus.
•    Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
•    Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, dashboards)
•    Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
•    Experience with inventory planning systems and MRP logic
•    Experience with forecasting tools is preferred

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. 

 

The base salary in the United States is $98,000 to $104,000.
