The Northeast Regional Manufacturing Facility of ASSA ABLOY Door Group is growing and to support that growth, we are adding an Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift to the team located in Easton, Pennsylvania.

What would you do as our Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift?

You will be responsible for the operations and production, including leading a team, ensuring the quality of product, achieving production goals, and ensuring on time delivery, labor and safety.

 

You would also:

  • Plan and assign daily tasks to area employees to achieve the daily schedule and departmental goals, while maximizing production efficiency
  • Ensure customer orders are completed correctly, in an efficient manner, and on time
  • Train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of staff, ensuring their ability to safely perform their functions
  • Foster a safety culture and the implementation of safety policies and training to eliminate work related injuries.
  • Create and report prescribed metrics (daily, weekly and monthly)
  • Identify and proactively raise productivity issues and trends; recommend alternatives for improved performance.
  • Actively participate in process improvement projects to achieve cost savings in labor and materials
  • Promote positive employee relations, communication and teamwork across all shifts and levels
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, health and safety and inventory management
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or a related field desired
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Lead, Supervision or Manager within a manufacturing/production environment with a demonstrated ability to lead people
  • Previous experience and/or exposure in a Union environment desired
  • Previous experience implementing work planning and production scheduling
  • Demonstrated experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques and process improvements
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and function positively under pressure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous work experience with doors, frames, metal fabrication or metal forming, CNC machines, etc. is highly desirable
