What you would do as our QA Automation Engineer

As our QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role within the R&D team, building our automated testing capability from the ground up across our cloud-connected security platform, mobile applications, desktop software, and connected devices. This newly created position will focus on introducing scalable automation, improving regression efficiency, and increasing release confidence as the platform grows. You’ll work closely with software developers, firmware engineers, and product teams to develop practical, maintainable frameworks.

You would also:

  • Build and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks across cloud, mobile, and desktop platforms to reduce manual testing.
  • Identify and prioritise high-impact automation opportunities while balancing manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Automate key workflows such as authentication, device onboarding, syncing, firmware updates, and user management.
  • Support quality through manual/exploratory testing, defect troubleshooting with developers, and clear test documentation.
  • Strengthen QA processes by contributing to CI/CD integration, release testing, and long-term automation strategy.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in QA/testing with strong knowledge of automated regression and test design principles.
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining automated test frameworks for cloud, mobile, or desktop applications.
  • Proficiency in API testing and scripting/programming (e.g. Python or JavaScript).
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, working closely with developers and product teams.
