Part Time Finance Assistant - 24 hours per week

What you would do as our Part Time Finance Assistant
As our part time Finance Assistant, you will provide a purchase and sales ledger service at our busy Dublin site. A key focus if the role will be to help maximise cash flow, reduce overdue percentages and ensure accounts are maintained within the group policies and reporting requirements. Additionally, you will ensure efficient and diligent finance support service to the existing team at PC Henderson in Dublin whilst we continue to grow our business.
You would also:
• Manage the purchase ledger process from managing the invoices to reconciling statements and scheduling payment runs to meet agreed terms.
• Oversee global intercompany settlements and month-end processes across multi-currency accounts for customers and suppliers.
• Assist with raising invoices and credit notes, allocating payments from multiple platforms and issue monthly statements.
• Complete daily reconciliations across multiple bank accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Apply credit insurance policies when opening accounts, ensure timely collections, and report overdue balances in line with company standards.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
• The ability to thrive both as a team player and when working independently, demonstrate initiative and accountability.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• The skills to communicate effectively at all levels while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence with the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and adapt to agreed frameworks while driving process improvements.
• Previous experience in finance administration, credit control, or customer service is desirable.
