What you would do as our Head of Technical


HKC Security, a part of ASSA ABLOY, is a leading designer and manufacturer of intruder alarm solutions for the UK and Irish markets, committed to delivering innovative and reliable security systems.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Head of Technical to join our team.

This role is crucial in ensuring management our technical operations, including our customer support helpdesk, product testing, and technical alignment between R&D, Product Management, Procurement and Manufacturing. 

 

You would also:
•    Lead the helpdesk team to resolve customer issues efficiently and provide escalation support for complex cases.
•    Work closely with the R&D team in testing new product developments and ensuring that products meet technical specifications, reliability standards, and customer needs.
•    Support the Operations team in addressing any technical challenges during the manufacturing, including troubleshooting issues related to customer feedback.
•    Ensure that any product changes or updates are communicated effectively between R&D, Operations, and other relevant departments to maintain consistent quality and reliability.
•    Monitor and analyse product & service performance, provide insights for continuous improvement, recommend & implement improved processes/systems/tools.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

•    Proven experience in a senior technical management role within the electronics, security, or related technology sectors.

•    Strong background in managing technical support teams and helpdesk operations, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

•    Experience working closely with R&D teams to test and refine new product developments.

•    Demonstrated experience in collaborating with Product Management to specify new products and provide technical insights into product roadmaps.

•    Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, including quality control and reliability standards.
