Purchasing Manager - SAS - Doncaster

We are seeking a positive, approachable, and experienced leader to head our Purchasing function in Doncaster. This role will work closely with other UK ASSA ABLOY companies at supplier level to ensure the most cost‑effective and efficient supply arrangements are achieved.
Main Responsibilities and Key Challenges:
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the sourcing of all goods and services supplied to the business.
- Analysing spend data to identify and deliver cost‑saving opportunities.
- Negotiating supply agreements with nominated suppliers.
- Representing and enhancing the ASSA ABLOY brand with suppliers and external partners.
- Contributing to the annual activity plan for the Purchasing department and managing day‑to‑day team workloads.
- Working collaboratively with Technical, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to support the development of existing and new products.
- Preparing procurement reports and presenting findings to wider teams when required.
- Ensuring supplier compliance with the ASSA ABLOY Quality System.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and promoting best‑practice procurement across the department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
We are looking for a decisive and driven leader who has:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement environment.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- CIPS or an equivalent professional qualification (desirable).
