Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS)

As our Senior Software Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Develop and enhance features for real-time embedded system.
• Develop communications protocol drivers for use in our embedded system and third-party products.
• Develop and enhance network communication mechanisms.
• Port existing software to new embedded hardware and software platforms.
• Design and implement software development and test tools.

• Ability to work on complex tasks with minimal technical guidance.
• Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable working with automation tools like Jenkins, BitBucket, Git in Agile/CI environment.

Your Experience and Education include:  

• Bachelor’s degree desired in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• BSEE or BSCS
• 5-10 years professional experience in C or C++ programming, preferably with Embedded Linux and microcontroller RTOS development.
• Experience with Linux OS System.
• Experience in distributed systems and network-based communication protocols.
• Experience with Docker Containers.
• Experience with API design and implementation.
• Experience with Network Communications and Security Protocols.
• Professional experience in Linux embedded development.
• Experience with Threat Modeling and SSDL
• Experience with addressing static code analysis issues
• Experience of Yocto and Yocto Cooker.

The base salary in the California are $122,000 to $131,000
