JDE Developer

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas Division implements and maintains Oracle’s J.D. Edwards (JDE) E1 9.2 ERP applications. We are currently in the process of implementing JDE across all our business units in the Americas Division: North, Central and South America. 
 
The JDE Developer will report to the Commercial Segment organization and will work on JDE production support issues and implementations. The JDE Developer will create, customize and maintain applications/UBE in JDE E1 system, transforming Functional requirements into technical solutions, writing new code, unit testing it and troubleshooting applications, following the ASSA ABLOY standards to achieve this.  

It will also integrate third party systems according to the Business needs.

What you will be doing

  • Work within our JDE change management and projects/implementations as a JDE Developer, driving the tasks for developing, troubleshooting and testing. 
  • Work with and provide support to local resources and external consultants assigned to specific project teams and change management teams to follow divisional standards. 
  • Provide technical support for prototyping, development and unit testing. 
  • Participating as required in the analysis of business requirements and the development of specifications. 
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the business processes supported by the JDE solution. 
  • Research special topics as required as part of team or project responsibilities 
  • Develop and nurture consensus and working relationships with all Enterprise Applications teams and with other business and IT teams; engender a positive, collaborative work environment for the team 
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and mappings on each enhancement implemented.  

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Proficiency in ERP related functions; 4 year or graduate level college degree in IT (or related area), relevant experience 
  • Knowledge in object management, vocabulary overrides, UBE, APPL development, etc. 
  • Experience with multi-national and multi-currency concepts.  
  • Be able to understand Functional specs or requirements and translate them into JDE software solutions. 
  • Experience in debugging NER, BSFN, APPL, UBE, etc, for troubleshooting, as well in reading the logs. 
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills; team player 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities and meet deadlines; must perform in a high exposure, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment. 
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, shared-services environment, across multiple divisions with a variety of operating environments, application software, tools and technologies 
  • Position requires travel, varying from 10-30% within the continental US and Canada, and Central and South America. 
  • Must be available to work in Mexico and Latin America countries.

  • BI Publisher Embedded skills. 
  • DSI Mobile Enterprise Platform Development skills. 
  • JDE Orchestrator skills 
  • Unibar / Loftware LPS / Loftware Spectrum skills (for Label development). 
  • Skills on handling and developing UDO – User Defined Objects (Watchlists, Queries, Grid Formats, Composed Pages, Notifications, etc). 
  • Advanced to Proficiency English language skills, Spanish speaking highly desired 
  • Experience with using MS SQL; ability to write SQL queries 
  • Exposure to Gentran EDI Software, SAP Business Objects, Docpath forms printing, Imaging systems (TransformAP) 
  • Knowledge of all JD Edwards modules.
