Field Technician

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions) is looking for an experienced foreman that specializes in commercial and industrial door installations, service and repair. Willingness to work overtime a must. Electrical and welding experience is beneficial.

Job Requirements:

• - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - 3–5 years of experience in using hand and power tools
• - 3-5 years of commercial coiling overhead door installation and repairs
• - Stick welding experience
• - Ability to install edge of docks and weld on bumpers
• - Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators
• - Ability to run floor loops
• - Ability to troubleshoot high speed doors
• - Experience using hoists or cranes to handle steel coils (training/certification a plus).
• - Knowledge of 18-to-24-gauge sheet metal properties and safe handling practices.
• - Ability to read drawings and use basic measurement tools.
• - Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation.
• - Good communication and teamwork skills.
• - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• - Ability to climb extension ladders
• - Experience with safe operation of scissor lift and forklift
