About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic planning, team leadership, market analysis, and creative thinking to achieve business objectives in this stand alone business. You will have a proven track record of successfully developing and executing sales strategies, building, and managing high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth. This position is on-site and based in Redcliff Qld.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain client relationships – proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities with builders and construction companies. Via a tendering process
  • Generate sales, improve margins and build relationships with current customer base. Achievement of Sales and Margin Budget.
  • Responsible for Sales, Estimating & Project management, leading the Team to ensure continuation of opportunities, and maximising sales potential of Peninsular Fire Doors
  • Ensuring tenders are submitted within specified time frames and to specification and scope as required by the client.
  • Project Management, review the project information, pricing and client requirements
  • Determine product information from plans, specification, schedules and associated information
  • Establish a project program for detailing, manufacture delivery and installation
  • Ensure goods are manufactured, sourced and delivered to the client as planned
  • Establish and manage subcontract site installation and costs
  • Compile invoice and progress claim information and forward to accounts department
  • Reconcile project sales and costs, resolve variances and obtain client deed of release
  • Provide efficient management, oversight, and review of all resources, including personnel, technical, material, and financial, to achieve optimum profitability over the budget year.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and follow through to a mutual resolution

 

About you

As a senior leader you will be able to work autonomously with excellent organisational skills and strong people management skills. You will be a clear communicator and an effective leader who can manage and prioritise multiple projects at once and work towards meeting deadlines, within budget.

 

Key Skills Required

  • Relevant Tertiary education is preferred with 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role
  • Business Manager/Branch Manager experience in the Construction and/or Manufacturing highly regarded
  • High level of leadership, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Understanding pricing and margin requirements and contract interpretation
  • Proven sales and Project management experience within a commercial / construction industry
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking coupled with an exceptional ability to lead several projects simultaneously to successful outcomes.
