Profile Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing using C# or Java, along with Selenium and Playwright.

This role involves validating complex software systems that interact with hardware devices, requiring a combination of software testing expertise and an interest in hardware-level validation. The ideal candidate should be passionate about building robust automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring high product quality.

The candidate is also expected to adopt modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted testing and spec-driven validation approaches.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using C# or Java
• Implement UI and API automation using Selenium and Playwright
• Develop and execute test strategies for applications involving hardware integrations
• Validate device behavior and communication protocols (USB, UART, I2C, SPI, HID, CCID)
• Collaborate with development and hardware teams to understand system behavior and requirements
• Identify, report, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed of automation suites
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to engineering teams
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test suites
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and test data

Modern Engineering Expectations

• Hands-on experience or exposure to AI-assisted tools for testing and development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• Understanding of spec-driven development and test-driven approaches
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve test case generation, debugging, and automation efficiency
• Familiarity with modern testing practices and continuous testing strategies

Required Technical Requirements: (Good to have)

• Strong programming skills in C# or Java
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for test automation
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks
• Good understanding of UI and API testing concepts
• Knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as USB, UART, I2C, SPI, HID, and CCID
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in testing hardware-integrated systems or embedded devices
• Familiarity with performance testing or load testing tools
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems
• Exposure to IoT systems, MQTT, or device ecosystems

Education and/or Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required, with graduate degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation
