Solution Architect - O2C
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a solution architect to work in O2C working in partnership with the Stream Leader – O2C to deliver the IT roadmap, enabling ASSA ABLOY EMEA to effectively utilise information technology to support and grow the business.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Principles - Being part of the Business Led phases to support the quality of the delivery
- Scope –
- BUILD, RUN IT deliveries (Applications) for the related Stream O2C for all sizes of projects and requests.
- ERP: In collaboration with the whole EMEA IT organization and ERP governance
- High level role and responsibilities –
- BUILD (Application) : Roadmap, Resources, Business Cases, Design, Development, Test, IT implementation, Communication, Project Management, Vendors
- RUN (Application): Support Services, Operations, Communication, Vendors, SLAs
Key competences & requirements
- Responsible for understanding business requirements
- Responsible for proposing innovative and coherent solutions to the target objective and user requirements
- Accountable that solutions are in line with policy for O2C
- Responsible for documenting solutions in line with our governance and improvements
- Responsible for estimating the scale of implementation work (in collaboration with each resource involved on it)
- Responsible for managing the addition of identified solutions in the landscape (through acquisition, configuration and software change)
- Accountable that clear specifications and designs are produced for new/changed solutions
- Accountable that appropriate test cases are in place for new/changed solutions (manual and automated tests)
- Accountable for the quality of delivery from third party suppliers and development organizations
- Responsible for handover solutions to the support organizations and user community (training, and follow-up the users’ learning curve)
- Responsible for handling triage of incidents found by the business in testing
- Responsible for handling 3rd line support requests coming from the support organization
- Responsible for providing additional support to the implementation team when new solutions are first implemented
- Responsible for participating in relevant focus groups and process owner network meetings and workshops
Education and/or Experience
- Solution Architecture includes requirements analysis, solution proposal, design and scaling of change.
- 12 - 15 years of total work experience.
- Proven knowledge of solution and implementation experience for O2C modules (3 years+) in following solutions Dynamics ERP (AX2012, AX2009 and D365FO).
- An awareness of relevant 3rd party products and external packages to augment the above solutions.
- Experience of designing functional changes, integrations, output documents and BI solutions for O2C.
- Degree or equivalent.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
Personal Characteristics
- Able to prioritize and plan work to high quality in line with deadlines
- Able to work as part of diverse teams including Process Owners, Super Users, Consultants, Developers and Suppliers
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to communicate on work completed, implementations defined, tested and deployed.
- Ability to explain requirements and work closely with developers (all areas of expertise).
- Ability to explain and demonstrate how to use ERP tools to users.
- Ability to follow defined IT processes
