Our Group IT Team is expanding with more team members within the area of Network and Network Security. Are you one of the new Senior network security engineers whom will be part of a Team working with global services having interaction with Americas, EMEA and APAC?
Global IT Shared Service Center is managing ASSA ABLOYs shared infrastructure and global application as well as application management for selected divisional solutions. The GroupIT strategy is that the services we offer are outsourced in a multi-sourcing setup.
Role description:
In this position you will be responsible for providing leadership in planning and managing IT infrastructure operations and production support related to Network and Network Security with a focus on Firewalls, F5 Load Balancer and AlgoSec.
You will also be involved in architecture, design and implementation of solutions as well as making sure that the environmental documentation is up to date. You will have great opportunity to Identify gaps and recommend improvements for change relating to new or existing processes. In close partnering with our internal customers and external strategic partners, you will increase the quality and efficiency of global IT infrastructure.
What you would you do as our Senior Network Security engineer:
Position is within Global IT and reports to Global IT Service Owner Network Security.
In this role you will be driving solution and process improvements within the service areas of Firewalls, Load Balancers and AlgoSec interacting with our internal and external customers and application owners. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead team of Engineers in areas of network, network security, Firewalls, AlgoSec, load balancing, DNS, SDDC, DDoS, WAF
- Provide and explain Subject Matter Expert level knowledge and experience to leadership, internal teams and suppliers.
- Participating in management calls to provide updates about your area.
- Core escalation support for Firewall, Load balancing services
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the achievement of targeted business results that include customer, team, and individual objectives.
- Actively support, participate, and contribute toward the success of the business.
- Act as a central support person in tracking, assigning tickets and reporting the status to management and customers.
- Driving our vendor/partners and securing well-working services
- Support the department’s strategy through positivity and leadership.
- Participating in management calls to provide update about your area
- Help customers to review the compliance of their locally managed firewall using AlgoSec reports
The skills and experience you need:
- Ability to reprioritize tasks rapidly without missing deadlines in an ever-changing business
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with geographically diverse staff and resources in both daily operations and event support
- Our ideal candidate will have a passion for, and a solid understanding of firewall devices and related services and will be forward-thinking and progressive
- The candidate should have exhibit a can-do attitude to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with key stakeholders to deliver high quality service, reduce business impact, and increase customer satisfaction
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong technical skills about firewalls, load balancers and layer 7 security.
- The candidate will need strong technical (English) writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical issues
- You have a clear understanding of Global management and central handling of Network Security in DCs, on sites and cloud, like routing and IP/DNS.
- You have 8+ years of IT background experience within a project setting within large scale organization.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
