Senior PLM Developer

PLM Developer - Role description 

This permanent role is a full-time position in ASSA ABLOY to further strengthen our PLM service delivery team and our PLM ecosystem of tools and capabilities.

The PLM service delivery team is responsible for the end user, infrastructure support and maintenance of the PLM instance. We are part of Group IT and work in close collaboration with the Global PLM Competence Center on the various PLM capabilities at ASSA ABLOY.

The position, based in Chennai, India will report to Service Delivery Manager located in UK.

Responsibilities and Challenges 

• Strengthen and support the PLM Service delivery organization in expanding the development capabilities.
• Work closely with Global PLM Competence center team on various PLM initiative and provide support as needed
• Take ownership of the assigned development activities
• Review and improve current development processes and tools
• Proactively troubleshoot issues and look for improvement opportunities
• Work closely with vendor development and support teams
• Create and Maintain process instructions for development activities
• Mentor new team members
• International travel maybe required occasionally

Qualifications  

• 8-10 Years experience in development in the PLM/PDM domain
• Experience in Teamcenter Customizations (Java, SWT, RAC, C / C ++, ITK, SOA, XML), Active Workspace Configuration and Customization
• Experience in Teamcenter BMIDE codeless configurations, codeless customizations
• Strong knowledge of Teamcenter modules(My Teamcenter, Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Access Manager, Query Builder, Teamcenter Visualization, Teamcenter Supplier Collaboration, Requirements Management, Reporting and Analytics), products and integrations
• Experience with CI/CD tools – Jira/Github or similar
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Energetic and passionate to learn new things
• Experience with PLM tools other than Teamcenter

Desirable but not Essential

• Working in Agile environments
• Experience with Cloud Technologies
• Experience in ITSM tools like Servicenow
• Experience with PowerBI platform

Language Skills                  

• Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in written.
