The Senior Network & Security Engineer provides HID Global with technical expertise and support for the global network environment, including the assessment, implementation, and maintenance of new capabilities and upgrades. This individual is a contributing member of the Global Security Services team and is based in Chennai, India.

Duties and Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following.
- Provide technical support for the global network and security environment, including assessment and implementation of new capabilities and upgrades.
- Manage and maintain FortiGate NAC, firewall policies, proxy, UTM, firewall virtual domains, and micro-segmentation solutions.
- Manage and maintain PAM (Privileged Access Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) solutions.
- Lead or independently drive network and security projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
- Conduct vulnerability detection efforts and participate in active security incident response.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical and emergency tasks or requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of security solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network and security engineering.
Education And/Or Qualification:
- 6 to 9 years of experience working in a network and security enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate NAC, firewall policies, proxy, UTM, firewall virtual domains, and micro-segmentation, preferably using host-based firewall software.
- Strong experience of deploying and maintaining automation via Python scripting, Ansible Playbooks or similar, to automate deployment and management of network devices.
- Experience managing and maintaining PAM and EDR solutions.
- Proven ability to independently drive network and security projects.
- Experience conducting vulnerability detection and participating in security incident response.
- Experience with on-call support for critical and emergency tasks.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

- Travel and fieldwork, including international travel, may be required. Therefore, employees must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
