Job Summary:
The role as MS Dynamics AX2012 R3 Senior Developer in the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Division (ESD) Global IT & ERP Team with inside understanding of specific process/business area, such as:
• Finance
• Product Configuration
• Manufacturing
• Manufacturing/Warehouse Management Systems
• Manufacturing/Logistics
• Purchasing/Logistics
• Sales/Service/Project sales
• Sales
The Team is part of the divisional ERP & IT/IS organization, which consists of approximately 200+ employees serving the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Division globally.
As a Senior developer on the ERP system MS Dynamics AX2012 R3 the person should specialize in as many of the AX modules described above and especially in Service management, Project management accounting modules. Being a Senior developer, the task would be to develop customizations based on the change requests raised by business super users, qualified by the solution architect and business/subject matter experts. 3rd level technical support and bug fixing will be part of the role. The developer should learn our installed AX template and implement customizations in adherence to that AX template. All the above is in close cooperation with project managers, consultants and the rest of the MS AX ERP team.
Key capabilities:
• Expertise in x++ Language.
• Medium level understanding in C#.
• Has worked with DevOps in alignment with AX code repository.
• Understands AX development concepts.
• Has worked with AIF, SSRS reports and data management.
• Worked with ISV’s and ability to handle code merge with different code layers of AX.
• Good understanding of SQL in connection to MS AX.
• Has worked with Enterprise portal in MS AX.
• Understands MS AX architecture.
Responsibilities and authorities
Our idea is to have a senior developer in MS AX who understands the modules described above with specialization in Service management / Project management accounting modules of AX. The developer will mainly be responsible for developing/maintaining customizations in this area and be able to suggest solutions in this area from past experiences in adherence to our template rollout. Along with the specialization in the Service/project modules, the developer should have a good understanding of modules like finance, Inventory, purchase and Sales, product configuration management. The developer should have the ability to track and fix performance issues in AX. Good understanding/implementation of cache’s functionality in AX. Good exposure in fixing performance issues arising from the AX code.
Key competences:
Experience working in large global MS AX installations.
Great interest in application/system management.
Work with Subject Matter experts, solution architects and Business System Specialist to get the best solution developed out of AX.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of MS Dynamics AX2012 R3 & related systems, as well as of our business, organization, and internal processes in your process area.
Education: IT-relevant education.
Experience: The consultant should have 8+ years of AX development experience across the modules of AX.
Language Skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Computer Skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
