We are looking for Cloud Operations Engineer at our newly established Cloud Operations Center in Chennai, India.
Job Description
In this role, you will work in the position of Cloud Operations Engineer at Cloud Operations Center, responsible for running and supporting ASSA ABLOY Global Cloud Services globally, 24/7. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver & run multiple Cloud Projects / Environments for different ASSA ABLOY Business Units.

Required Seniority Level
Mid / Senior-level, with at least 5 years of experience
Responsibilities and Challenges
- Work in close cooperation with Cloud Operations Leader
- Work in close cooperation with other AWS, Microsoft, and Net & Sec Operations Engineers
- • Own end‑to‑end Vulnerability Management lifecycle, including discovery, risk assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, and closure across cloud and hybrid environments
• Lead regular vulnerability scanning activities and ensure accurate interpretation of scan results, false‑positive handling, and risk acceptance processes
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to drive timely remediation based on CVSS scores, exploitability, and business risk
• Define, maintain, and enforce patch management strategies for cloud infrastructure, OS, middleware, and supporting services
• Plan and execute regular patching cycles, including emergency and zero‑day patching, while minimizing service disruption
• Ensure compliance with security baselines, hardening standards, and SLAs related to vulnerability remediation and patching timelines
• Monitor and report on vulnerability and patching KPIs, risk trends, and compliance posture to Cloud Operations and Security leadership
• Support security audits, internal reviews, and compliance assessments by providing evidence related to vulnerability and patch management
• Collaborate with SOC, Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence teams during active threat or vulnerability exploitation scenarios
• Continuously improve vulnerability and patching processes through automation, tooling optimization, and runbook development - • Operate, secure, and maintain Palo Alto Next‑Generation Firewalls, including policy and NAT management, VPNs, security hardening, and firewall OS/content updates across cloud and hybrid environments
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Cloud platform
- CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge is a must
- Thorough knowledge of at least one of the major Public Cloud Platforms (Azure / AWS / OCI)
- AZ-500 certification or equivalent knowledge
- AZ-700 certification or equivalent knowledge
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking or equivalent knowledge
- AWS Certified Security or equivalent knowledge
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AWS-native DBs
- An ability to provision and manage the AWS-native DB server, without deep customizations
- Basic Windows Server skills
- An ability to perform basic troubleshooting through both RDP and CLI or willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or willingness to learn
