Senior Adobe Commerce Developer

 

PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE

As Senior Magento developer within the Sales Solution Area of e-Commerce, focus will be on the Magento 2 cloud solution. As a developer, you follow an innovative approach to build e-Commerce solutions that meet our business requirements and market demands. As Senior developer in Adobe Commerce Cloud, develop and maintain Adobe Commerce (Magento) stores with integrations to backend systems via API Integrations. This work will be done in close cooperation with the Team Leader in Chennai as well as with other developers, architects, internal customers, and other developers within our IT organization

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Technical Expertise: System development & configuration of Adobe Commerce Cloud, both front- and back-end. Suggest and develop improvements within the Solution area to meet business objectives and requirements.

 

Customer Support: Serve as technical point of contact, proving a solid development framework and process aligned with JIRA, managing demands and helping to prioritize features.

 

Problem Solving: You’ll analyse complex problems related to Adobe Commerce implementations, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions. Your ability to think critically and creatively will be invaluable. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including central commerce team, end users and 3rd party vendors. Collaborating effectively will be crucial to success. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System development, implementation, support, maintenance, and administration of the systems/applications in scope
  • Suggest and develop improvements within the Sales Solution area to meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Documentation and testing of systems/applications in scope.
  • Participate in projects and Change Request work, within the Sales Solution area.
  • Attend Sales Solution area meetings and report on tasks, issues, challenges, and opportunities to the Program Manager for Sales Solution.
  • Being self-driven take necessary actions on upcoming request / tasks.
  • Second/third level support, i.e., service requests and incidents.
  • Good overview and detailed development knowledge about the Magento platform, both front- and back-end.
  • Good knowledge of Magento 2 cloud and PHP development. Good knowledge in Java, Java Servlets. Certified Magento developer.
  • Proven track record within the E-Commerce area. Experience from working in a similar role.
  • System development: implementation, support, maintenance and administration of the systems/applications in scope
  • Ensuring smooth operation of Adobe Commerce system by monitoring , maintaining and managing configurations , security setting and integrations
  • Investigating and resolving technical problems errors or bugs in E Commerce system , collaborate with business , IT or development teams if necessary
  • Assisting in configuring and customizing Adobe Commerce application to meet specific business requirements
  • Create, modify, and maintain system customizations to system dashboards; views; business processes, workflows and dialogs
  • Manage and coordinate JIRA, task estimations and risks, along with release process.
  • Coordinate with consultant resources as needed for project delivery.
  • Own the System Admin including roles and permission sets, BU structure.
  • Later stage, manage support resources to ensure AMS is delivered in line with business expectations
  • Generate user and technical documentation
  • Attain high stakeholder satisfaction ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with quality results
  • Understand and translate business requirements into accurate application specifications and solutions, working closely with stakeholders.
  • Estimate development efforts and help shape prioritisation.
  • Design and code updates to Adobe Commerce
  • Design, implement, and extend additional functionality, refactoring where appropriate. 
  • Write code that is stable, reusable, and conforms to team coding style and standards. 
  • Create and maintain documentation for application coding and project development, along with user documentation as needed.
  • Working with APIs to integrate various back-end systems
  • Build bespoke or advise on off-the-shelf solutions to meet tech requirements
  • Ensure JIRA is used for all planning and release management
  • General maintenance including security patches and version upgrades
  • Balance multiple demands, manage daily workload, and prioritize tasks.   
  • Participate in code reviews and technical meetings
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the eCommerce team
  • Accurately maintain code in source control systems, appropriately documenting and commenting check-in and merge activities. 
  • Support QA, UAT, and integration testing efforts, including test case execution when necessary. 
  • Prepare and package completed software for production deployment. 
  • Smoke test applications as an integral part of the deployment process.
  • Act as L2 support to troubleshoot and resolve problems and errors with existing systems & data
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of related technology and software trends.
  • Attain high stakeholder satisfaction ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with quality results

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of total work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT specific experience as a Magento Developer.
  • Proven track record within the E-Commerce area.
  • Experience from working in similar role.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Commerce implementation best practices
  • Experience in agile development practices & methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with all levels in the organization
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self motivated with ability to establish priorities and work independently

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
