Senior AEM Engineer
The Senior AEM Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions and related platform integrations across the full project lifecycle. This role will be also responsible to work with team of developers under the guidance of technical lead to deliver the requirements. This role will also be responsible for supporting existing implementation via enhancements and bug fixes.
In addition to strong technical knowledge of the AEM and integrated platform this position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with various business stack holders and partners. Work will be managed with supervision of lead and encouraged to take initiative on ideas, best practices etc...
Role / Responsibilities:
- Design & define technical approaches to achieve business requirements, review with technical leader board, documents and develops the solution along with the team.
- Ensures the delivery and success of AEM enterprise-level integration and development involving upstream and downstream systems
- Participates in gathering of technical and functional requirements from business teams during discovery phase and translate it into AEM solution and document it
- Create development approach along with team and present it for approval with technical leader board along with efforts
- Should be hand on AEM features and functionality to develop custom solution including back-end integration and ready to develop them along with development team
- Should be creative and OOTB thinker to bring best practices in development approaches
- Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet business requirements more efficiently and/or with greater reusability and/or long-term solution
- Perform reviews and provide inputs/directions to the development team during design and development phase
- Experience and exposure in agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and customer relationship building skills
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience of AEM Components, editable Templates, Client Libraries, Taxonomy, metadata management, Forward and Reverse Replication, Workflows, Content Publishing, Tagging, Campaigns, Analytics and Targeting.
- Experienced with third party integrations e.g. Search Integrations, Authentication Handlers, Web services Integrations, etc
- Hands on experience in dispatcher configuration mainly sling mapping, vhost and url rewrite etc…
- Experience working with E-Commerce platforms is highly desirable (e.g. Magento, SalesForce Commerce Cloud etc.)
- Extensive experience in application deployment (Cloud deployment/In-house deployment)
- Good understanding of integration patterns and content-centric application development patterns using AEM, Search, Commerce package or other platforms.
- Good understanding of AEM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, and the use of Online marketing components such as advanced targeting/ personalization, and multi-variate testing.
- Should have configured and designed AEM multi-tenant solutions and delivered it
- Designed and implemented tagging and data layers for complex analytics scenarios, content targeting and personalization scenarios
- Experience in performing product and technology research and analysis to formulate solutions to business specific requirements
- Experience in implementing, enhancing, and troubleshooting AEM installations and administration issues
- Should have conducted code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and appropriate design patterns are used
- Having one or more of the following certifications is a plus. AEM Developer, Adobe AEM Advanced developer
Experience
- Overall 6+ years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions
- Minimum 4+ years of experience developing with AEM Touch UI(version 6.4 and higher, As a Cloud Service will be preferred)
- Minimum 4+ years solution designing & executing AEM sites build:
- Editable Template
- Touch UI Components (React/Sightly/JSP/Java/Angular)
- Servlet, Services, Third Party Integration
- Server side caching build (symphony, EHcache etc…)
- Context Hub and campaign
- Sling models and exposure
- Experience and content fragment
- Context aware configuration (OSGI configuration)
- Styling system/Multitenant architecture
- MSM (Blueprint, Live copy, Language copy)
- Replication and triggering jobs or event on activation/deactivation
- Dispatcher configuration
- Front end and server side debugging and fixing issue
- Performance improvement and SEO debugging and tracking
- Experience with Analytics tools like (google analytics or adobe analytics)
- Experience with targeting tools like (Adobe Target or double click etc…)
- Experience with Tagging system like (google tag manager or adobe launch)
- Experience with eCommerce platform Magento aka Adobe commerce will be plus
- Experience with integrating SalesForce will be plus
- Experience with integrating Product management system will be plus
- Experience utilizing BitBucket, GitHub, Jira and Confluence
- Experience with cloud offerings as a hosting platform
- Experience on designing CI/CD process
- Experience on customizing GDPR presentation
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to deliver quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals
- Broad web and digital knowledge with an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
