Position: Privacy Specialist / Data Protection Analyst

Location: Chennai, India (Based in the HID office)

Role overview: Join our team as a Privacy Specialist to support our Data Protection Officer and globally advise and drive the implementation of our Data Protection Compliance Program (DPCP). Collaborate with our global functions and business areas to elevate our data protection standards, focusing on creating and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Data Protection Officer, based in Sweden, in enhancing the DPCP by developing processes, guidelines, and training materials.
• Foster a culture of data protection across the organization in a decentralized, international setting.
• Create and maintain RoPAs in compliance with GDPR.
• Conduct PIAs to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to data protection principles.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and privacy concepts.
• Interest in technology with a foundational understanding of SaaS and information security.
• Ability to bridge business and technical gaps and create RoPAs as per GDPR Article 30.
• Proficiency in conducting PIAs and translating data protection requirements into actionable requirements.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Experience with data protection tools like TrustArc or OneTrust.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams and countries.
• Integrity and resilience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, IT Law/Data Protection, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of data protection experience in an international setting.
• CIPP certification or equivalent is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Legal eligibility to work in India.
