Role description 

 

We are looking for a PLM Support Specialist to join the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Services team at ASSA ABLOY.

The PLM services team is responsible for the end user and infrastructure support of the PLM instance. We work in close collaboration with the Global PLM Competence Center team, business stakeholders and Global IT. In this role you will work closely with above mentioned stakeholders and vendor teams.  Currently we are looking at strengthening our team in Infrastructure support and development capabilities.

  • PLM Code Development
  • Root cause Analysis of recurring issues

Responsibilities and Challenges 

 

Infrastructure Support

 

  • Perform deployments in the various PLM environments
  • Configure and perform new PLM installation as needed
  • Perform PLM upgrades
  • Evaluate new features/functionalities in PLM with respect to infrastructure
  • Provide support for end user tickets relating to infrastructure area
  • Perform routine maintenance and patching activities on all PLM servers
  • Due to the nature of the role, some work needs to be carried out on weekends as deployments in Production are performed only on weekends. Estimated frequency of such deployment is once a month.
  • In the event of a P1/P2 incident, you should be available to provide support

 

Development

 

  • Gain a good knowledge of AA PLM implementation and perform root cause analysis as part of the triage process.
  • Perform Codeless customizations, BMIDE changes and other configuration changes.
  • Work closely with vendor development and support teams

 

Qualifications  

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing and administering Teamcenter or Minimum 3 years’ experience in Teamcenter Customizations (Java, SWT, RAC, C / C ++, ITK, SOA, XML), Active Workspace Configuration and Customization
  • Strong knowledge of PLM products and integrations, specifically Teamcenter. Experience in other PLM technologies will be a bonus.
  • Proficiency with BMIDE, TEM, Deployment Center, Active Workspace
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Energetic and passionate to learn new things.
  • Open to learn and explore new technologies.
  • Collaborative and self-motivated

 

Desirable but not Essential

 

  • Working in Agile environments and Matrix organizations
  • Experience with ITSM tools like Servicenow
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jira, Github or similar
  • Experience in SQL
  • Understanding of Cloud concepts

 

Location
