Profile Summary:

This role blends hands‑on technical expertise with strategic leadership. Tools Platform Manager leads the team responsible for the selection, implementation, and management of R&D, Devops and QA tools across the organization. This role owns the roadmap for upgrades, migrations, and new initiatives, and manages vendor relationships to ensure the platform’s reliability, scalability, and alignment with business goals. The manager collaborates closely with stakeholders in Digital product development, Security, DevOps, and QA to deliver solutions that drive operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Lead and manage the Tools Platform team to deliver automation and integration solutions.
  • Oversee administration, integration, and optimization of R&D, DevOps and SDLC tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, New Relic, Postman etc)
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle of R&D tools (selection, onboarding, upgrades, decommissioning)
  • Own the roadmap for tools and automation initiatives, prioritizing upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Define clear goals, allocate responsibilities, and track progress against roadmap milestones.
  • Drive the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, New Relic, AWS, and infrastructure automation (Python/Bash scripting, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with Development, Security, DevOps, and QA teams/leaders to define requirements, set priorities, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for tools and platforms.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across all managed tools and platforms.
  • Monitor platform performance, work with the team in troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Ensure that the team is delivering the goals and objectives.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management for team members.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 12+ years in IT / Engineering platforms with 5+ years in leadership and experience in DevOps, automation, or platform management roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with multiple tools and automation platforms, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, New Relic, AWS, and infrastructure automation (Python/Bash scripting, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Exposure to various AI tools and using them to perform the job efficiently.
  • Strong background in stakeholder management, with demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and QA leaders.
  • Experience managing teams, setting performance goals and managing the end-end delivery of the team.
  • Handson in owning roadmaps, and handling vendor relationships.
  • Track record of successfully leading upgrades, migrations, and new tool implementations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
