Global Engineering Team is based in Chennai and one of the Business Unit Engineering team is based in Bangalore.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Continuously monitor and assess vulnerabilities in public-facing assets using scanning platforms and manual testing techniques.
- Conduct explorative testing to uncover misconfigurations, exposure risks, and emerging threats across external services.
- Analyze findings and develop prioritized, actionable remediation recommendations for IT and development teams.
- Maintain visibility across multiple locations and business units, ensuring consistent coverage and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive timely resolution of identified risks and track remediation progress.
- Chair recurring meetings focused on external threat and vulnerability management, providing strategic insights and updates.
- Stay current with threat intelligence, zero-day vulnerabilities, and evolving attack vectors targeting internet-exposed systems.
Qualifications
Must demonstrate expert-level knowledge in vulnerability management and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Proven expertise in external vulnerability management, penetration testing, or security assessment of public-facing systems.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, DNS, SSL/TLS, cloud-hosted services, and internet infrastructure.
- Experience with tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Burp Suite, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.) to enhance testing and reporting workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and secure configuration of services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to interpret CVEs, threat feeds, and security advisories to inform testing and remediation strategies.
Education Qualification or/ Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on external threat and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience conducting security assessments of websites, APIs, and hosted services.
- Demonstrated ability to work across teams and geographies to align remediation efforts.
