Job Description
In this role, you will work in the position of Cloud Operations Engineer at Cloud Operations Center, responsible for running and supporting ASSA ABLOY Global Cloud Services globally, 24/7. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver & run multiple Cloud Projects / Environments for different ASSA ABLOY Business Units.

Required Seniority Level
Mid / Senior-level, with at least 5 years of experience
Objectives of this Role:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems for optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Automate operations, including provisioning, monitoring, backups, and scaling.
- Optimize database performance, storage, and cost-efficiency across cloud platforms.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover capabilities for cloud-hosted Servers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations, deployments, and troubleshooting.

• Work in close cooperation with Cloud Operations Leader
• Work in close cooperation other operation teams.
• Deliver multiple Cloud Projects on Environments cloud environments like AWS and Azure and as
a daily task
• Support cloud network operations on AWS and Azure platform
• Run and support already delivered Cloud Projects / Environments
• Support a core HUB Global Cloud Infrastructure, delivering high SLA of core components
• Operate and monitor Global Cloud Landscape with the following tools:
o FinOps platform
o Infrastructure and Application Monitoring platform
o Linux and Windows automation platform
o SysOps platform
• Prepare technical documentation as a daily task
• Thorough knowledge of Cloud platform
• Thorough Linux and Windows sys-admin skills
• Basic understanding of Active Directory
• Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts
o Routing, Firewalling, IP management
• At least basic automation skills (and willingness to learn):
o Terraform, ARM templates, Python
• Willingness to work in a shift mode
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Cloud Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP—including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash for infrastructure automation and day-to-day operations.
- Monitoring & Incident Management: Experience with tools like Datadog, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch; ability to handle alerts, logs, and on-call incidents.
- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, patch management, and access control mechanisms.
- Cost Optimization & Governance: Familiarity with cost tracking tools (e.g., Flexera, native tools), resource right-sizing, and tagging policies.
