Architect - AX and D365

     

 

Job Summary: 

We are currently seeking a technical specialist with skillset related to AX/D365 to join the EMEIA ERP Program, collaborating closely with EMEIA IT Team.

This role is to drive the technical improvements of the EMEA ERP systems (AX 2009, AX 2012 & D365F&O) from the operational perspective, improving the reliability and performance of the ERPs by providing technical solutions for improved stability and health of all nonproduction & production environments. Good problem-solving skills are critical to this role.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the day-to-day operational technical discussions related to EMEA AX & D365FO
  • Propose solutions in collaboration with multiple suppliers and EMEA IT colleagues to mitigate repeated incidents associated with AX & D365FO environments
  • Troubleshooting issues with ERP environments
  • Review and improve technical work Instructions for support technicians
  • Improve the stability and reliability of all ERP environments
  • Take on challenging problems and use good problem-solving skills to find solutions

 

Key Duties

  • Liaise with GSSC Infrastructure team on all technical issues affecting ERP
  • Ensure that service providers understand and adhere to Technical Design Policies
  • Advise and guide SOM & AMS technical on new technical solutions
  • Work with & advise Domains if required on any technical issues arising from ongoing projects
  • Work with Support Org to ensure the health monitoring covers the requirements for minimizing disruption to services and detect ERP issues asap
  • Work closely with the EMEA ERP Technical Architect to provide technical solutions to enhance reliability and supportability of ERP environments
  • Ensure that supplier's RCAs are good quality and that solutions are provided as an outcome to those RCAs
  • Assist the Support department, providing technical expertise/guidance & engaging in management discussions and meetings with suppliers
  • Provide 3rd line support to the support organizations and business users
  • Assist with root cause investigations and problem management resolution
  • Optimize environment data refresh processes
  • Assist Developers with any operational issues where applicable
  • Query performance tuning via SQL of AX databases
  • Manage Devops pipelines
  • Manage D365FO environment updates

 

Education and/or Experience         

  • 12+ years of experience in Dynamics AX versions (2009, 2012) and D365F&O.
  • Proven ERP implementation experience in large-scale environments (1000+ users).
  • Experience of integrating AX & D365FO to external systems
  • Installation and configuration of Dynamics AX components
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics AX versions (2009, 2012) and D365F&O.
  • Good understanding of programming principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of formal software release and deployment management
  • Experience of working in a global organization with geographically dispersed, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Driven and proactive, stays on top of the issues and follows up rigorously

  • Hands-on experience with:
    • X++ coding and debugging (AX 2009, 2012, D365F&O)
    • Integration frameworks (AIF, DIXF) and data management in D365FO.
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Programming with the Microsoft .Net framework
    • Microsoft Integration stack
    • Azure & Azure DevOps
    • Copilot GitHub & Claude Code
    • LCS & PPAC

 

Tools

  • Familiarity with automated deployment and DevOps practices.
  • Visual Studio Tools for Dynamics AX and X++; GITHUB
  • Morph X++
  • Team Foundation Server (including AX)

 

Language Skills                  

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.                      

 

Computer Skills  

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
