AI Solution Architect
Role Summary
The AI Architect plays a critical role in shaping, designing, and safeguarding how AI solutions are implemented across the organization. This role ensures that AI initiatives are technically feasible, secure, scalable, and aligned with business value while adhering to the company’s AI governance and architectural standards. The focus is on applying AI to real business problems; the AI Architect therefore combines a broad understanding of AI technologies with strong enterprise architecture thinking and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- AI solution & architecture design: translate business needs into robust AI solution architectures; design end-to-end AI solutions including data flows, integrations, platform components, and operational requirements; select appropriate models, frameworks, and cloud services.
- Support early-phase use case exploration: participate in pre-studies to advise on opportunities and constraints with AI; assess technical feasibility, data needs, and risks; lead PoC design and evaluation.
- Collaborate with internal development teams & group-wide AI program: align solutions with group-wide AI platforms and capabilities; provide architectural guidance during PoC and early implementations.
- Vendor technology assessment & orchestration: evaluate AI vendors, platforms, and tools; review vendor architectures and integration patterns; ensure vendor solutions comply with internal standards.
- Governance, compliance & responsible AI: ensure AI designs adhere to governance, privacy, and security policies; support documentation for risk assessments and approvals.
- Enable reusability, standards & best practices: develop AI architectural guidelines and reusable reference patterns; promote consistency across business units.
- Technology horizon scanning & thought leadership: monitor industry trends and emerging AI capabilities; advise leadership on relevant opportunities and risks.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, AI Architect, or similar.
- Broad understanding of AI concepts such as generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, orchestration frameworks, and vector databases.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or similar).
- Experience designing data-intensive or integration-based solutions.
- Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
Nice to Have:
- Experience from applying AI in commercial offerings.
- Experience from Robotic Process Automation.
- Knowledge of MLOps/AIOps principles.
- Experience working with global enterprise environments.
