We're looking for Quality Assurance and Rectification Officer to join our Spence Doors team in Cheltenham, VIC (close to Moorabbin, Oakleigh, Mentone, and Dandenong).

 

What You'll Do

 

Perform QA visual and specification inspection throughout the production process.  Complete final inspection of all products prior to delivery, to ensure 100% product specification and compliance.

  • Assist in all aspects of Supervision with the factory floor in regard to QA inspection and compliance.
  • Participate in Production Meetings, be up to date with operational matters and production expectation
  • Continual monitoring and assessment of QA system through all areas of production
  • Liaise directly with Team Leaders and operators on QA matters
  • Provide recommendations based on observations in the interest of continual improvement of the QA system
  • Seek approval and implement change if required, train team members accordingly
  • Monitor and sign off on the quality of all outgoing goods
  • Ensure products meet quality standards set by industry and management
  • Ensure QA procedure and documentation are maintained to the equivalency of ISO 9001

 

You'll also:

  • Lead investigations and the Corrective Action process (rout-cause tools)
  • Report and provide feed-back on factory performance in regards to QA
  • Create reports-based inspection; seek approval to implement change of the manufacture process if required

 

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced QA Officer from a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly, or fabrication experience)
  • Passion and enthusiasm for Quality, with high levels of energy and drive
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate continuous improvement processes
  • Ability to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Reliable, team player, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE
