Production Planner



Recently acquired by ASSA ABLOY; Spence Doors is a market leader in the door and frame industry and pride themselves on a thoughtfully designed solutions for specific functions and manufactured for sustained performance.


We are searching for a proven results driven Production and Purchasing Planner based in Cheltenham focussing on production volume, quality yields and raw material purchasing across the ASSA ABLOY Doors Group nationally Key to this role is your ability to achieve the efficiency of production through sound demand planning practices and the purchasing of materials to maximise production volume and quality in line with business and customer requirements.  You will have key internal and external relationships and be accountable for a range of business outcomes and KPIs.


To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Strong planning skills a good understanding of ERP Systems
  • Demonstrated experience in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Industry knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication and timber manufacturing
  • The ability to assist with monthly stock count and assist with maintaining organised raw material storage


The ideal candidate will be results oriented with a sense of responsibility and ownership. You will operate with a high level of structure, energy & autonomy and have the ability to work in cross functional teams. 


You will also be:

  • Self-efficient and have the demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • An effective communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and a high level accuracy and attention to detail
  • Customer focussed and capable of working under pressure in a busy production environment
  • Knowledgeable in assembly/machining methods and have the ability to read and understand workshop drawings preferably working with materials such as metal, glass, timber and lacquer
