The primary function of this warehouse is distribution and kitting. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensure efficient processes, maintain inventory accuracy, and manage a team of warehouse staff. This role requires hands-on involvement and must ensure that all operations run smoothly and effectively, making customer service a priority. This role reports directly to the US Operations Manager and offers the chance to make a real impact while building lasting relationships.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop warehouse operations and staff, ensuring a holistic approach to employees.
  • Ensure that a safe working environment is established and maintained and that any injuries are promptly reported.
  • Coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics processes including the accurate and timely shipment of products, maintenance of shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts.
  • Report to senior management on shipping activities and issues.
  • Perform various inventory counts. Reconcile any inventory variances.
  • Order supplies as needed ensuring stockouts do not occur.
  • Supervise all forklift operations and ensure forklift is inspected daily.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure that all machinery is safe and regularly serviced.
  • Control and organize storage and inventory space.
  • Work with staffing agency for temporary staffing needs.
  • Abide by and enforce facility rules, state laws and regulations.
  • Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning to create a more efficient fulfillment system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or proven Warehouse Manager work experience of at least 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
  • Forklift experience, standup forklift experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, ERP or WMS, UPS WorldShip & FedEx Ship Manager.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Physical stamina, able to work long hours on one’s feet and lift 50+ pounds
  • Spanish speaking.
