Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management. This position involves detailed financial analysis, cost tracking, inventory control, and budget management to support our company’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze cost reports and financial statements.

Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records.

Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, inventory, and variances.

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.

Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate costing and financial reporting.

Conduct cost audits and implement cost control measures.

Manage and monitor inventory valuation, including physical counts and reconciliation.

Analyze inventory transactions and variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Provide insights and recommendations for cost efficiencies and process improvements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, with a focus on inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
